After many requests, I decided to record this course showing how to paint a realistic skin texture using The Foundry's Mari.

In more than 3 hours of video material I'll recreate my entire "Josie" image artwork from scratch, showing the step-by-step processes behind the creation of the 17 maps

The course will also feature some background lessons like a brief introduction to Mari, texture cleaning and preparation in Photoshop and other technical explanations, so that everyone can follow the entire course easily.

What's inside:

- 19 video lessons + Bonus lessons (*will be added in a few days).

- head .obj file

- photo references

- course description (pdf)

"Henrique knows his tools and goes very deep into painting realistic skin with MARI, showing us his step-by-step process and practical knowledge, presented in an understandable way. Additionally he covers the background fundamentals to clean and prepare your textures along with a short, but clear introduction to MARI. Definitely an invaluable learning tool, with easy to follow techniques and tricks to become a better texture painter."

"After watching your course, I used it in the creation of my latest character.

I thought the course was really good. It was exactly what I was hoping for when I purchased it. It gave me a quick introduction to Mari and an overview of the basics and then got straight into the workflow. It provided concise, practical information using a quality example of a production workflow, while teaching the main tools used.

For future videos, I would like to see other texturing examples of dealing with different material types and also go a bit more in depth of some of the other tools inside of Mari."

“...The Foundry's Mari is one of the best tools for texturing out there and there is not much material on the web for those who want a quick start. This course is simple, well explained and easy to follow.”

MARIANO STEINER - Character Artist @ Rockstar Games

“...during my latest works, I felt the need for improving my texture workflow, and learn Mari. This course is not only about the tool, but about textures itself, with a great artistic background.”

DANILO ATHAYDE - Freelance Character Artist

“It's been some time I'm looking for a more specific course like this, where everything is well balanced between software and theory lessons.

Henrique Campanha is one of the best 3D texture artists out there, besides being a great professional. By following some of his tips, you will be able to not only do better skin, but create better textures overall...enjoy guys!”
